Media Advice
Our client service staff constantly gives detailed advice to clients on the most appropriate publication (print and online) to advertise in, the most effective positioning, the best timing, and all of the rates and deadlines involved. We maintain strong relationships with the media to ensure regular updates on special offers and features that may benefit clients. We maintain our own internal media library, which holds rates and other information for all publications across Australia.
Media Research
We are continually monitoring activity across, and cultivating strong relationships with all media. In addition, we have access to all major audience research data, including Roy Morgan and AC Nielsen. We use AARDS, ABC and CAB data for print media and for online media we utilise a range of ever evolving tools including, but not limited to, Google Analytics and Hitwise. Our senior client service staff are adept in making this type of information meaningful to clients.
Media Rate Negotiation
A dedicated Local Government Account Management team will act as a master media agent to negotiate Council media rates and manage their contracts where they fall outside of existing LGP media contracts for local, regional, national and international media. We understand the importance of making clients' media dollars work as hard as they possibly can and so, our negotiation skills are not just about saving money, but about maximising cost effectiveness.
Online Recruitment
To most of the Local Government's audience, the Internet is the fastest way for candidates (both passive and active) to discover new employment opportunities. In today's environment, online media works very successfully in partnership with traditional (print) media, or function by itself. Advertising Design & Creative
If the need is for an ad to break through the clutter in most media, our internationally experienced creative team comes into play. With a background of award winning work in the specialist area of recruitment advertising, they'll work with you to establish a brief and come up with an eye catching and effective campaign. Blaze currently assists clients from large to small with creative executions.
Copywriting
We provide clients with copywriting training that helps them become more confident and efficient in developing their own copy. As a result, less time is spent on writing each advertisement, and the effectiveness is increased through strong, succinct and concise messaging. We also have several very experienced copywriters who can copy write our clients ads at any time should it be required.
Production & Typesetting
We have a complete in-house production unit and our processes were developed over many years to ensure we provide fast, efficient and accurate production of ads. Our production staff are all qualified Mac Operators and most are qualified Typesetters with both media and agency experience. They receive up-to-date training on a regular basis to ensure they utilise any improvements in software development.
Website Design & Development

We have an internal resource of specialist skill-sets for digital work, specifically in the careers/recruitment space. Our employer brand team undertake employee, management/executive, and candidate research through focus groups, interviews and surveys. Project:
Awareness advertising campaign - warning of the outbreak of Equine Influenza featuring media planning, booking and placement.
Outcome:
After turning around a national press advertising schedule literally overnight, Blaze placed the warning in over 350 newspapers, which was then followed up with a radio campaign. Through our quality processes and relationships with the media the project was delivered seamlessly.
Project:
Recruitment of Census Collectors, featuring high-volume, fastturnaround press advertising, radio scripting, media planning and buying and direct mail design.
Outcome:
Blaze successfully managed the largest single recruitment campaign ever undertaken by the Australian Government, achieving all targets primarily via the placement of advertising in 984 individual newspapers simultaneously across the country on 4 separate occasions.
Project:
Public announcements for territory election, featuring television and radio production.
Outcome:
These services were provided within timelines and budget. In addition, the short turnaround time for audio files for use with the electronic voting system for the blind and vision impaired was managed effectively, enabling that voting system to be available on schedule. The professionalism, efficiency, effectiveness and patience of Blaze was evident in overcoming the initial setbacks, ensuring a successful product so that our advertising schedules could be met.
